What is the Parent Council

The Parent Council is a group of parents selected by members of the parent forum (the collective name for every parent, carer or guardian at a school) to represent all the parents of children at the school.

•Directly influences your child’s school experience
•Acts as an advocate for the school with the Highland Council and also within the local community
•Raise or progress issues that the school alone cannot

  • Scottish Parent Teacher Council – SPTC is the national organization for parents’ groups in Scottish schools.  They offer help and advice to all parents.
